Anne moved to Somerset in 1986 after the close of the Art Centre Burleighfield House, that she had established with Patrick and ran for some 15 years. She was entranced by the Somerset landscape, and it’s changing light with the flooding of the levels in winter. So she painted the landscape she found herself in, and used it as a metaphor for the spiritual life.
