The Road to Mount Isa - Australia
Anne was the eldest daughter of an Army Brigadier, Ian Bruce, and so from her earliest days she was travelling. An entourage for a soldier in those days involved your wife, children, Nanny, Maids, at least one Batman, and so when her father went to Egypt and Ethiopia in the 1930s, the whole family went too.

So it was that when Anne was 7 she set sail with the family to India, and several of her later paintings were an attempt to capture the inundation of memories she had from those days as a child.
As an adult she traveled extensively with Patrick, visiting Europe, the USA, Mexico, Canada, India again, Cyprus Turkey and Australia.
The paintings in this section reflect these journeys.
